Training
Facilitating conversations about race and racism in the classroom is challenging; we are here to support you. High quality anti-racism education for both staff and students is essential, and we believe that this education should be ongoing.
We recommend whole-staff anti-racism training (In-person or via Zoom) for your school, before the resources are delivered.
This enables staff to understand the core principles of anti-racism. It ensures that educators are aligned, well-prepared, and informed about both the immediate and long-term goals of this work, as well as why it is so crucial.
Sessions 1 and 2: An Introduction to Anti-Racism Education
In a safe and supportive environment, we will explore the core principles of anti-racism theory. These sessions will lay the essential groundwork for building an anti-racist culture in our schools and classrooms. We’ll discuss the challenges that often arise when addressing ‘race’ and racism, and how increasing awareness of our own blindspots—along with a deeper understanding of key concepts—can transform our thinking, behaviours, and teaching practices.
Session 2 will give staff the opportunity to work in department or year-group teams to explore how the insights from Session 1 can be applied to the education system, and how racism can present in schools. This session will include research on racism in UK schools, explore different examples and scenarios, and help staff critically reflect on their current practices and policies.
Cost: £490
Session 3: Teaching Anti-Racism Education to Primary and Secondary age students as part of the PSHE/RSHE/Citizenship/Form Time Curriculum

Participants will be introduced to the complete set of lesson resources for Key Stages 1-4. We’ll discuss the challenges in facilitating conversations about ‘race’ and racism, and provide guidance on how to lead these discussions with sensitivity and impact in the classroom.
